Available to book outside term time only, the McGrath Bar, which opened in 2013, is a modern, multi-purpose space to network, socialise, study and learn.
Looking for a unique venue to host an event, then look no further! Our modern and vibrant McGrath Bar can accommodate up to 180 guests, perfect for a private party or breakout space for a conference. Fully equipped with customisable lighting and 2 media screens, the flexible bar layout allows you to create a bespoke environment for any event. The venue is fully air conditioned, has Wi-Fi, disabled access and also space for a live band or disco.
The subterranean bar stocks a wide range of wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks perfect for all occasions. Sourcing a range of products from sustainable and local suppliers, where possible, our bar is making strides towards being as green and sustainable as possible.
This is the perfect venue for a product launch, networking event, birthday or Christmas party.
Conference use
With direct access to the auditorium above, the bar creates an excellent space for hosting poster board sessions and refreshment breaks when being used in conjunction with the McGrath Centre. Lectures in the McGrath Centre can be live streamed in to the bar maximising the amount of people that can view your event.
