Dr João Rodrigues

Bye-Fellow

I obtained my BSc in Physics and my MSc in High Energy Physics at the University of Lisbon. I concluded my PhD in Physics at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, with a thesis on Modelling Quark and Gluon Correlation Functions.

Having investigated the structure of the nucleons in the first part of my academic career, I started studying the Climate of the Polar Regions when I moved to the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics of the University of Cambridge in 2002. My main topic of research was the thickness of the sea ice cover in the Arctic Ocean and how it has been decreasing in the past few decades due to global warming.

Currently, my academic life consists mostly on teaching and supervising several undergraduate courses in Physics and Mathematics at several Colleges of the University of Cambridge.
