Dr Samuel Niblett

Dr Sam Niblett is a member of the Chemistry Department, in the group of Professor Dame Clare Grey. His research uses computer simulations to study the reactivity and dynamics of lithium- and sodium-ion battery electrolytes.

Sam completed his undergraduate and PhD degrees at Catz (the latter supervised by Professor David Wales). He then spent three years at the University of California in Berkeley, working with Professor David Limmer to understand reactivity at aqueous interfaces, before returning to Cambridge. He supervises Chemistry courses for Catz, particularly Physical & Theoretical Chemistry at part IB. He is also a Research Fellow at Clare Hall.
