Cycling
The Cambridge University Cycling Club (CUCC) came away from the annual Mountain Bike Varsity competition on 27 February with victories in both the male and female competitions for the fifth and fourth consecutive years respectively. Congratulations to Tom Wade, a Materials Science PhD student, on the fastest men’s time (1:21:52) and his second Varsity win with the team. (CUCC)
Rowing
Due to Storm Eunice, races in the Boat Races Fixture Series on 20 February were held between Putney and Hammersmith Bridge. Clare Hole (a second-year Natural Sciences undergraduate) was in the five seat in the Cambridge University Women’s B boat, who were sadly unable to fend off Oxford Brookes. (The Boat Races)
Best of luck to all the Cambridge crews as they compete in the next fixtures on the Thames this Sunday, and await the announcement of the final Boat Race 8s on 7 March.

Sailing
Olivia Jacklin, a third-year Human, Social & Political Sciences undergraduate, captained the Cambridge sailing team at the Royal Yachting Association/British Universities Sailing Association (BUSA) Women’s Finals. They secured the BUSA shield for the top university team and finished in second place overall nationally. (Cambridge Sailing Team)
Football
The St Catharine's women's team has qualified for the Cuppers Plate final after a penalty shoot-out against Queens'. With one goal apiece in the semi-final, it call came down to penalties and the team was 3-1 up by the fourth penalty. (The Kittbag)
The St Catharine’s II men’s team finished at the top of Division 5 this year and secured a promotion to Division 4 next season. Their final match was against Fitzwilliam III and resulted in a phenomenal 11-0 victory. (The Kittbag)
Badminton
For the first time in history, St Catharine’s has reached the semi-finals of Cuppers in all three disciplines: Open, Women’s and Mixed teams will all be competing on 13 March. (The Kittbag)
