The St Catharine's Dining Hall is one of the largest of the Cambridge Colleges, making it the ideal venue for high-quality dining and receptions on a grand scale.
The newly refurbished College Hall provides a stylish, streamlined community space for our members, Fellows, staff, and conference guests, essential to meet the needs of a 21st-century College.
The project has transformed the Hall and associated areas into a space that matches the quality and serviceability of the McGrath Centre.
The central spaces project has provided – for the first time – direct access between existing buildings, with links to the McGrath Centre, the McGrath Bar and the new ‘Garden Room’ making it ideal for conferences and events using multiple meeting, social and dining spaces. The new Garden room provides an impressive setting to enter the Hall from and is also available for private hire for drinks receptions of up to 20 people, or for 100 if linked with Chapel Court in the summer months.
The refurbished Dining Hall seats up to 180 for dining and provides the perfect setting for formal dinners during vacation periods. With wood panelled walls and an impressive sky lantern the new Dining Hall will provide a stylish setting for private dining and events.
