Athletics
Three St Catharine’s students represented Cambridge at the indoor Varsity field and relays meet: Joe Day, a first-year Land Economy undergraduate, cleared 1.80m in the high jump; Ben Massey, a first-year History & Politics undergraduate, achieved a personal best of 55.1s in his leg of the men’s 4x400m relay, and Jess Poon, a second-year Geography undergraduate, won her 60m race in a personal best time and ran the first leg of the women’s 4x200m relay in another personal best of 27.2s. Hockey
The Kittbag admitted to losing count of the number of goals scored by the mixed hockey team in their Week 2 match report, after back-to-back victories over Jesus College (6-1) and a combined Trinity Hall-Selwyn College team (9-3). (The Kittbag)
Netball
The women’s team has had a great start to Lent term: despite a 11-6 loss against Girton, they enjoyed a 6-5 win against St John’s second team and a 10-6 win against Gonville & Caius. (The Kittbag)
Rugby
The St Catharine's men’s team (combined with Homerton College) weren’t able to progress any further in the 2023 Cuppers competition after a 6-24 defeat in the second round against St John’s College. (Cambridge University Rugby Football Union)
