Student health & wellbeing

Your wellbeing matters. We are a community that wants all its members to be able to thrive. Everyone who is part of the Catz community can access a wide range of resources and support, including the Health and Wellbeing team, tutors, porters and more.

There is a lot of support available within College and University, through the NHS, and through charitable organisations. You can find out more about all of these by clicking on the buttons below. We would always encourage you to talk to the team or to your tutor; we can help you think through what's going on for you and what sort of support might be most helpful.

All information shared with the Health and Wellbeing Team is confidential. For the team to offer best possible support we share confidentiality as a team. Please see our confidentiality statement for more information on how your information is stored, how it is kept safe, and your rights in relation to this.

Support in a crisis

  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and are not sure you can keep yourself safe, please call 999.
  • The porters can provide immediate support for you, and help you access further support, whether that is via the tutorial system, the health and wellbeing team, or the NHS.
  • For urgent, non-emergency mental health advice via the NHS, you can call NHS111 (option 2) if you are in Cambs/Peterborough, or the equivalent for your local area if you are not in Cambridge.
