Below are the rent rates for our postgraduate residences for the 2023–24 academic year. These rates have increased by 8% on 2022-23 rates. Please be aware that the total rent as stated below is for the occupation period as set out in your contract and not for a full calendar year.
The occupancy period for rooms is from 1 October 2023 to 22 September 2024, other than specific rooms in Russell Street which end on 30th June 2024.
The total amount payable will be divided in 3 or 4 instalments depending on the length of the occupancy, and a bill will be issued at the start of Michaelmas, Lent, Easter and Summer terms. The instalments do not relate to a defined period or College term. Students will receive a reminder email regarding bill payments in Lent, Easter and Summer terms.
If students wish to stay beyond their occupancy end date and/or they are a student who is continuing to stay in College accommodation for a subsequent year, they will need to pay a vacation rate per extra night that they stay outside of the contracted occupation period - charges are detailed in the table below. The vacation rate is higher than the equivalent daily rate for a nights stay to account for the additional charges the College incurs to extend a student’s stay and raise additional payments.
The costs given below include internet, heating and lighting among other services and facilities.

If you wish to extend your stay outside of your contracted occupancy dates including if you wish to arrive to your accommodation early, subject to availability, you will be charged a daily vacation rate. This rate is based on your room band and the charges can be found below. The below rates do not apply to short term summer accommodation.
